Administration Committee

The Administration committee updates and maintains the information and databases for the Western Region.

Awards & Recognition Committee

The awards & recognition committee in the Western Region is responsible to work with Lodges, Sections and individual to submit applications for national awards that are filled out correctly, thoughtfully and thoroughly.

These awards and recognition include the DSA, Silver Antelope, Regional/National Alumni Award, E. Urner Goodman Camping Award and OA Matching Service Grants.

Communications Committee

The communications committee serves as the direct link from region to scouts across the West. The team is split into 4 teams that work hand in hand to carry out responsibilities. The Ambassador Program helps section with their own communication goals.

The technology subcommittee manages the website, database, and Office 365 user accounts.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee in the Western Region is responsible to provide balancing the region’s budget and providing transparency.

Inductions Committee

The Inductions Committee is responsible for the continuous implementation of Polestar and other inductions materials across the Western Region through the training and mentoring of facilitators. As well as for developing resources for lodges to use to aid in their advancement of PMP induction metrics. The WRIC also acts as the main point of contact between the region and the national ICE committee.

OA Leadership Fund Committee

The O.A. Leadership Fund strives to help sections burden the cost of sending officers to regional events. To donate, find out more, or look at resources please contact the committee leadership.

Marketing & Sales Committee

The Marketing & Sales committee in the Western Region is responsible to provide viable items that our members can purchase to show their “West is Best” pride. It also is one of the main ways that we fund the programs within the Region

OA High Adventure Committee

The OA High Adventure (OAHA) committee in the Western Region promotes OAHA through the Sections and Lodges. It also administers the Region Scholarship Program for High Adventure.

The Western Region offers an OA High Adventure Scholarship for each lodge to award.

Training Committee

The Training committee in the Western Region is broken into NLS Training and DYLC Training. Their responsibility is the planning and implementation of the programs throughout the Region. They build trained teams that travel to put on the programs based on input from the National Committee
